Museum of the Mountain West

Experience what it was like to live in western Colorado in the 1880s to the 1930s. View 500,000 artifacts from the mountain west displayed in store and office displays circa 1880–1930. Carefully restored historical buildings including a livery, gun shop, one-room schoolhouse, teacherage and church located on the museum grounds add to the experience.

Hours of Operation:
Open 9:00am - 4:30pm on weekdays. Weekends are by appointment.

Directions:
The Museum of the Mountain West is located at the intersection of U.S. Highway 50 and East Miami Road, approximately 2 miles east of Montrose, CO. Turn in at the museum sign and park in front of the the large metal building.

Entrance Fees:
$6.00 per adult for groups of 5 people or less; $5.00 per adult for groups of 6 people or more; $3.00 per child
