Mesa Verde National Park

Mesa Verde National Park is truly America's premier archaeological wonder. National Geographic Traveler named Mesa Verde as one of the fifty "must-see" places of a lifetime, and it's easy to see why. America's first World Heritage Site, the park tells the story of a civilization's dynamic growth over 700 years.

Hours of Operation:

The park is open daily year round. Cliff Palace, Balcony House, Wetherill Mesa and the Far View Visitors Center are open seasonally.

The Mesa Verde Headquarters is a one-hour drive from Cortez, Colorado, heading east on Highway 160 to the park turnoff, and a 1.5 hour drive from Durango, Colorado, heading west on Highway 160 to the park turnoff.
